Coman coveted by Barcelona, Real Madrid and City
The German press has agreed to the possibility of French international Kingsley Coman being able to leave Bayern Munich this summer, and his competitors are truly huge: Barcelona, Real Madrid and Manchester City.
STRONG PROGRESSION MARGIN
Kingsley Coman has been playing for Bayern for several seasons – since 2015 – at a time when Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery still claimed almost all the protagonism. But this scenario has changed recently and the talented French winger has had a lot more space in the team in the last three seasons, asserting himself as an important, but not decisive part in the Bavarian formation’s maneuver.
At just 23 years of age his margin of progression is enormous and it is not surprising that great European giants are keeping an eye on the French player. At the moment, Coman is valued at 40 million euros through the TransferMarkt website and I don’t think Bayern would require much more than that to transfer the player in a transfer that could be worth a maximum of 50 million euros, especially in the current context.
Coman has added 5 goals and 5 assists in 24 games this season and has shown a performance in line with the previous two seasons in a solid performance demonstration, although he has not yet really exploded to the level of a Serge Gnabry, for example, who adds 18 goals and 11 assists in 33 matches this season.
For that reason, Bayern could really consider a sale for a considerable amount that gives them greater grounds for attacking one of their summer priorities: Leroy Sane.
MAN.CITY HAS ARGUMENTS TO BEAT SPANISH
Although it is said that Barcelona and Real Madrid are the clubs most interested in the player, the truth is that Pep Guardiola can look favorably on the acquisition of the Frenchman in a possible transfer of Leroy Sane to Bayern Munich.
The German Sane is currently valued at 80 million euros and after failing all season with a serious injury, it is likely that the Citizens will even be able to consider its sale with a good offer.
Now, if Bayern advance with 30/40 million euros + Kingsley Coman this could be a very interesting proposal at the moment. Putting in some money and still receiving a promising player that could be worth a lot more in a few years time can be a good market move for the English.
Sane was never an undisputed in Manchester City despite his magnificent performance. In the last season he played – in 18/19 – he scored 16 goals and created 18 assists for his teammates in 47 matches, in many of which he left the bench in the second half.
To give you a more concrete idea, Leroy Sane spent a total of 2,700 minutes this season compared to Bernardo Silva’s more than 4,000. The Portuguese scored 13 goals and made 14 assists, in other words, Sane contributed to more goalscoring goals than the Portuguese having around 1,300 minutes less use.
Many consider that Pep Guardiola is not a fan of the German and even Sane himself seems to be interested in a change, so this deal may even happen.
BARCELONA AND REAL MADRID WILL HAVE TO INVEST
Given Manchester City’s apparent advantage to secure Kingsley Coman, Real Madrid and Barcelona will need to get ahead quickly and come up with a win-win proposal for the Bavarians. 50 million euros should be enough, but at a time when clubs don’t seem ready for big investments, the scenario of player exchanges is back on the scene.
In Barcelona, Ivan Rakitic or Arthur Melo could be good bargaining chips even though they are players from different positions. Real Madrid, on the other hand, could also include Luka Jovic – very well regarded in Germany – as a bargaining chip after the Serbian failed badly in his debut season for the Merengues.
Anyway, and regardless of the type of business that may be done, everything indicates that the future of Kingsley Coman should really go through an exit from Munich where he designed himself for world football, but without ever truly convincing the club’s managers Bavarian to the point of being considered one of the essentials of the squad.
The future of Bayern’s wings may even pass through two German players: Leroy Sane and Serge Gnabry – both strongly aimed at being stars of the German team in the coming years in view of the current moment of renewal of the ‘Die Mannschaft’.
